Country Sunsets
One of the greatest things about living in a small town is that city blocks don’t run very far. Which means, it doesn’t take much driving to be out in the country. And out in the country is exactly where you want to be to witness the best sunsets.
An amazing sunset will catch your eye wherever you are. God’s canvas in the sky has a way to calm and inspire. And it can do this even if you are in the smack dab middle of the city. But the best seat in the house to watch a sunset is not behind a city block of buildings.
Tips for enjoying country sunsets.
- High, fluffy and airy clouds in the sky could be a good indicator that the sunset is going to be good.
- Winter and fall are great times of the year for colorful sunsets because of the lower humidity.
- Drive outside of town, find a gravel road to travel down, find a good hill and get comfy!
- Get there about 30 minutes before the time predicted on your weather app for the sunset.
- Bring a camera. You’re going to want to show this off later!
- Relax and enjoy the show.
If you have some country sunset photos to show off, post them here or on my Facebook page. I would love to see them!

The Word
Psalm 23, KJV: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
